My point is, regardless of dimensional and other similarities, the Buick shopper probably doesn't have a Stinger GT on his or her radar. Different demographics. And that's why people will buy the Buick and not the Stinger. Take a poll of all Regal buyers and ask them if why they preferred their car to the Stinger GT, number one answer will be "huh?".  ;D
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

I'm sure you're right about that... but it still makes no sense why they WOULD choose the Buick over the Stinger.

Well, the Opel is probably more comfortable than the Stinger, for starters. And styling-wise, a bit more mature inside and out. There are a lot of people who prefer the more traditional layout of the Opel's interior with buttons.

Not everyone wants a sporty ride, rather a smartly-styled cruiser.

NVH? Smooth no bump ride? Conservative styling? Ultimately, as Jaeger said, folks considering Buicks will not have heard of the Stinger. Further, folks considering Stingers will likely have heard of Buicks, for all the wrong reasons.

In driving them nearly back-to-back last month, I didn't notice an appreciably better ride in the Buick.

So... basically, what we've collectively come up with is the reason people might choose a Regal GS over the Stinger is that they haven't heard of the Stinger?   ???

I'd love to say you went out with a bang, but there is no way a Buick Regal promotes 'banging' in any way, shape or form.

Was the NVH comparable?
