I once thought I saw their new SUV but turns out it was just an Outback. Miss the original versions of these. I guess if one wants that size now they have to move over to the VW Alltrack.
If you really want to see how they have grown, compare the current gen Outback to the relatively tiny first gen Outback Sport of 1994. I know, I know, perhaps it's not a true comparison as it was an offshoot from the classic wagon design but it does show how things have changed:
