Nice to see better engine options available.

Quote
Both are 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinders, but while one is the company’s familiar unit with 190 hp/236 lb-ft of torque, the other is a new 258 horsepower and 251 pound-foot version that moves the Q3 from the bottom of the pack, power-wise, to the top.

But I'm really starting to miss analog gauges.

I think this new Q3 could actually be the top of it's class.  I like the styling, outside and especially inside.  The base engine choice is a bit weak but at least they have the upgraded engine as a choice.  I kind of hope that we get the RS version with the 5 cylinder engine out of the TT-RS and RS3.

I used to think Audi had some of the best interiors in the business, but this one is hard on the eyes with all the sharp square lines... reminds me of the Civic for some odd reason. Exterior is handsome though, will give it that.

Agreed. This looks way better than the previous generation.

Very appealing.   Especially with the more powerful engine. I will consider ordering one of these very soon for delivery next summer.

I think the styling changes, though somewhat subtle, are a massive improvement.  Nice vehicle, something I would consider for myself if I didn't have kids.

Agreed, Audi used to be the benchmark for simple, elegant and functional interiors, this one is a bit of a mess.  And the flat part at the bottom of the wheel seems to be over-exaggerated.

It also reminds me of all the odd geometries in the Ford Focus.

Having lived with the Golf, I love its simple lines.

That orange one with the black trim looks really, really good. The Q3 was a bit dated when they started selling it here and it definitely needed an upgrade. Nice that Quattro is standard now too.

I'm curious how they will price this new model. 2018 quattro models are....

quattro Komfort tiptronic
38,400.00 CAD

quattro Progressiv tiptronic
41,200.00 CAD

quattro Technik tiptronic
45,500.00 CAD

Yes, it does have more of the 'sharp square lines'. I prefer the traditional Audi understated high quality interiors as well, but the trend these days seems to be leaning heavily towards 'tech'. The vents are especially similar to those on a Civic.

IMO, the exterior more than makes up for the interior.

A much better looking (and much  needed) update. That said, given how old the previous Q3's platform was, I was always surprised by how many I saw on the road. Clearly Audi knew something we didn't.

But I'm really starting to miss analog gauges.

I agree. I realize the Virtual Cockpit is a premium feature but I'd much prefer traditional analog guages. Same issue with Mercedes' setup.

Looks like Volvo is the new interior leader.

Agreed, Volvo always had excellent interiors that have just got better with time. Stunning Nordic simplicity.

Agreed here as well. That Q3 is way too busy. Maybe ok for a video game, not for a car..
