exactly, agreed 'scoops

Chev has always been the choice if you are going to do anything with your truck, the other two are show ponies for the majority of buyers these days  because they are prettier
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Yep, the days of a truck being a truck are obviously numbered. I like luxury just as much as the next guy, but in the end I want power, capability, and stuff that makes towing easier/safer. If its comfy, has a couple cool screens to look at, and a few other niceties inside that's icing on the cake.

In GM's case I'd build a luxury Caddy pickup to blow everyone out of the water, it would spec out as such: Have the 5.5L Twin Turbo V8 with 550Hp and some type of hybrid assist, 10 speed auto, independent rear suspension with mag ride, no dash at all, just a screen from on end to the other (think like a S class) top quality leather/suede everywhere, a YUGE sunroof, and price the sucker in the 100K plus range.....sounds silly but I bet it would sell!

oh don't get me wrong. it's nice. and some will love it over all others.

personally, I just think the seats don't look as modern/nice as the competition.. the infotainment doesn't seem to be up to their levels... the exterior is up to the buyer, but doesn't look as "new" to my eyes... and the powertrains/suspension are mainly revamps of things they already have... I don't mind the latter, as going all new is sometimes not worth the trouble.

I still look at this truck as a great, real truck... and that should be enough to merit a look and possibly a purchase... but so many truck buyers don't even need the damn truck in the first place, that all those other brands' features will sway them.

GM spent most of their development money trying to figure out how to use different materials across the truck - they even spied on Ford lol....

I don’t love this design, there’s something about that huge gap in the front fenders that bothers my eyes...and the interior is the same old same old from GM, looks outclassed by this point already.

It's a truck for people who want a truck. Speaking as a person who doesn't necessarily want a truck, it's either a Ram 1500 or Honda Ridgeline for me.

Why the push to make headlights so small? Design looks like a fat man squinting. Does GM not know that HZ lines make you look fat? Vertical to slim lol.

I'm sure rocket could respond more accurately, but it seems that they just don't need to be as big to put out way more light. so why make them bigger, just to look like the old lights?
