I agree, this is a really attractive design, inside and out. Is this thing based on the Q-sedan, as the previous model was?   I'm not sure how i'd feel about having a CVT in my premium CUV. Would love to see a V6T Red Sport version of this.

No longer based on the RWD platform, this is now on the Altima/Murano platform.

"Sensory" ............ Stupid name in an era of stupid names.

And who cares if it isn't RWD based and has a CVT. Not like you are taking it to the track...
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

I like this design language better than the 2019 RDX that looks like a pumped HR-V.  The reclining and sliding rear seat is a plus not found on the Acura.  With 2019 RDX transmission complaints the QX50 and CVT might perfect for the suburb dweller who dottles around stoplight to stoplight.

Because the old FX was actually an SUV that looked good and with the V8, went like the bejesus.....this is in another sad contestant in the well off, middle aged divorcee category.
Lighten up Francis.....

This doesn't replace the FX though.

Why would they replace the QX70 (which is what the FX was called towards the end of its life) with a new QX50?

The QX70 was also very performance oriented.

Just to add, for those who are still confused, the QX50 is a replacement for....wait for it...the previous QX50, formerly known as the 'EX', itself formerly known as the 'EX37', which was an update to the original 'EX35', a.k.a. a G37x sedan with a hatch, minimal rear cargo space and a marginally higher ride height, but very sporty driving dynamics thanks to being based on that G-series platform.
