Day 1 | Day 2 Day 3

2014 Cadillac CTS Vsport

I was hoping to take the CTS Vsport to the track to get a real feel for this monster machine but unfortunately that was not in the cards. But I did have a little fun on some onramps and admittedly took much less time to make it to work everyday.

The CTS Vsport is smooth and powerful and it encourages you to go fast. On the highway the CTS Vsport reminds me of some large German sedans – the sense of speed is muted and the car feels so planted and solid that there isn’t a worry in the world — except for the fuzz of course.

Road noise is basically nil and the ride is a perfect balance of comfort and sport. It is rare that I get behind the wheel of a car after a week and it still surprises me and the Vsport does — it is a near perfect all-around luxury GT car.

Not too many car about fuel economy when looking at a vehicle of this calibre but the CTS Vsport returned a respectable 11.1 L/100 km over the course of the week with me behind the wheel. Many times loud noises exited from the exhaust system in a violent manner which may have affected this number somewhat.

I don’t want to give this car back — a rare occurrence and a bold statement in itself.
