I really like the layout of the interior in the new 2013 Fusion. It is simple and clean, yet very functional, and for those that do not like the touchscreen controls, Ford has provided redundant buttons for most functions, although those buttons are also touch sensitive rather than traditional dials and buttons.
Personally I think I would prefer more conventional buttons, but the flat panel display really makes the interior look unique and modern.

From what I can remember, the Ecoboost SE AWD version is the same as the Hybrid in terms of comfort. I drove the Hybrid a long distance and was not tired or sore after the trip and this Fusion offers similar seats that are comfortable and easy to adjust and get situated in.
Visibility is good in most directions as well, although not so much to the back with its raised trunklid, as with nearly all modern sedans. But of course the back-up camera that is equipped in my tester (an $800 option) makes backing up a breeze with intuitive parking lines that follow the steering angle.
The rear seats fold 60/40 and the trunk is large with space for a small spare below the trunk liner, where safety kits and other items could easily be stored. Of course the non-Hybrid version has a ton more space in the trunk than the Hybrid, so it is easily large enough for most families.
Since Ford uses convex mirrors for lane changing on their side mirrors, driving the Fusion is safer and easier in heavy traffic and the power of the Ecoboost engine certainly helps you merge onto the highway or into busy traffic quickly.
