There is not much going on inside the iQ; it really is rather small inside, so this is somewhat expected.
A gauge cluster in front of the driver gives you all the information you need including tachometer, speedometer, outside temperature and average fuel consumption (as well as other trip computer functions).

The centre concole with gear selector, USB and auxiliary inputs, Bluetooth buttons and one cup holder feels a little on the flimsy side.
No telescopic steering and no height-adjustable seat makes for an uncomfortable driving position for me. Add in the lack of arm rest and I find I am either sitting too close to the steering to save my arms, or too far, to favour my knees.
Rear cargo volume is just enough for a bottle of windshield washer fluid; with the rear seats folded, cargo space is not bad but then you can’t fit four people inside. Not that you can actually fit four people — three, maybe, for a short drive. Cramming four people, even 3 of them kids, into the iQ would be cruel.
