Completely revised for 2009, the 2010 Mazda6 undergoes revisions to its trim levels. The four-cylinder models add keyless entry with retractable key and trunk release, and the GT adds Bluetooth with Audio Profile, but the GS loses its auto up/down passenger window, and the GT sheds its power passenger seat. A new Luxury Package is added to the GT I4.

The V6 models are upgraded with now-standard items that were optional for 2009: the GS adds the list from the 2009 Comfort Package, while the GT adds the previous Luxury Package list. As a result, these packages are no longer available.

The Mazda6 comes with a choice of two engines: a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with six-speed manual or optional five-speed automatic transmission, and a 3.7-litre V6 with six-speed automatic. Both engines are available in GS or GT trim.

Features on the four-cylinder GS include 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, tire pressure monitoring system, heated mirrors, variable intermittent wipers, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input and steering wheel-mounted controls, trip computer, auto up/down driver’s window, keyless entry, cruise control, cloth seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, floor mats, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, active front head restraints, anti-theft alarm system, and locking glovebox.

The V6 GS adds electronic stability control, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, fog lights, LED taillights, power sunroof, auto up/down passenger window, eight-way power driver’s seat, and leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The four-cylinder GT builds on the four-cylinder GS and adds 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic dual-zone climate control, electronic stability control, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, fog lights, LED taillights, six-CD/MP3 stereo, Bluetooth with Audio Profile, "sequential welcome" illumination, power sunroof, auto up/down passenger window, auto-dimming rearview mirror, garage door opener, centre console with sliding armrest, eight-way power driver’s seat, heated leather seats, leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, and electroluminescent gauges.

The V6 GT builds on the four-cylinder GT and adds xenon headlamps with manual levelling system, puddle lamps, premium six-CD Bose stereo, Sirius satellite radio, intelligent key system with pushbutton start, four-way power passenger seat, driver’s side memory, blind spot monitoring system, and audio display screen.
