For 2012, the Cadillac CTS has an all-new 3.6-litre V6 engine, which is more powerful but lighter than the engine it replaces but with similar fuel economy. Bluetooth is standard on all models, the sedan adds a new grille, and a Touring Package is available that adds microfibre suede-trimmed steering wheel, chrome door handles, alloy pedals, sport grille, V-series centre brake light, wood trim, 18-inch painted pearl nickel alloy wheels on the Luxury trim package, and 19-inch polished aluminum wheels and Recaro performance seats on the Premium trim package.
The CTS is available as a sedan or coupe, and as the Sport Wagon, which is covered in a separate entry. The CTS sedan is available in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, and with a 3.0-litre V6 or 3.6-litre V6 engine. The 3.0-litre RWD comes with a six-speed manual transmission or optional six-speed automatic, while the AWD uses the automatic only. The 3.6-litre uses the six-speed automatic. The CTS coupe uses the 3.6-litre V6 with six-speed automatic, in rear- or all-wheel drive. Both the sedan and coupe also come as the CTS-V, with supercharged 6.2-litre V8 and six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic transmission.
Features on the CTS 3.0-litre sedan include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, OnStar, cruise control, driver information centre, tire pressure monitoring system, keyless entry, auto-dimming rearview mirror, tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel, illuminated vanity mirrors, auto up/down windows, automatic headlamps, LED taillights, heated mirrors, variable intermittent wipers, “leatherette” seats, eight-way power driver’s seat, rear seat pass-through, CD/MP3 stereo with satellite radio, and Bluetooth connectivity.
The CTS 3.6-litre sedan adds 18-inch alloy wheels, sport-tuned suspension, Brembo performance brakes, remote starter, cargo net, garage door opener, fog lights, eight-way power passenger seat, heated perforated leather seats, and premium stereo with hard disc drive, auxiliary input, USB port and Bose surround sound audio system.
The CTS-V sedan adds 19-inch alloy wheels, content theft alarm, performance speed-sensitive steering, Magnetic Ride Control sport-tuned suspension, automatic cabin odour filtration system, E-Z Key passive entry system with pushbutton start, power tilt and telescopic steering column, headlamp washers, rear parking assist, rearview camera, rain-sensing wipers, heated leather seats with perforated suede-style inserts, and navigation system with pop-up screen.

Depending on the model, available trim items include a Leather Package, Premium Package, Performance Package and Wood Trim Package.
