Canada’s car, home and business insurers launch workshops for businesses and non-profits

Halifax, Nova Scotia – Canada’s car, home and business insurers are launching a series of half-day educational workshops across Atlantic Canada to help commercial businesses and non-profit organizations get the most for their insurance dollars.

Participants will learn everything they need to know when looking for commercial insurance, and will learn to use risk management tools to help them design their own risk management programs. The workshops will benefit small- and medium-sized business owners, non-profit association leaders, employees and volunteers. There is no cost to attend the workshops, but participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item or cash donation for local food banks. Advance registration is required and is available at www.ibc.ca.

The workshops will be held in Fredericton on May 15; Moncton on May 16; Saint John on May 17; St. John’s on May 25; Halifax on May 30; Bathurst on June 6; Edumundston on June 7; Sydney on June 9; and Charlottetown on June 14.
