Nissan Canada has announced its pricing for the 2016 Leaf electric vehicle, available now with an optional 30 kWh battery the automaker says is good for 172 km of driving range.

The MSRP for the Leaf SV, the entry point for the battery upgrade, is $37,398 (before available rebates); the base S model, which uses the previously-available 24 kWh battery (with 133 km of range), starts at $32,698. The top-end SL trim, which also gets the big battery standard, goes for $40,548.

Other upgrades include a new infotainment interface that brings ‘NissanConnect with Mobile Apps’ and a five-inch touchscreen to base models, and a seven-inch display with navigation to SV and SL models. Other improvements, according to Nissan, are revised menu screen graphics, and charging screen information that can be automatically updated every time the car is turned on.

The 2016 Nissan Leaf is on sale now.
