Toyota ups price on slow-selling Sequoia, trims standard features

Toyota has raised prices for its full-size Sequoia SUV and cut features from certain trims for the 2016 model year.

To be fair, the changes are minor, the most significant being the loss of standard navigation in the mid-range Limited model, but Toyota’s price increases are notable for a vehicle that has changed very little since 2008.

For 2016, pricing starts at $55,310 for the SR5 model, an increase of $775.

The mid-level Limited trim loses the navigation system that was standard last year, but stickers at $61,950, up from the $61,170 commanded by the equivalent 2015 model.

Finally, the Platinum model breaks the $70,000 barrier, with an MSRP of $70,215, up $790 over the 2015 Platinum trim.
