Toyota RAV4 Hybrid teased before New York Auto Show reveal

The 2015 New York Auto Show is coming up fast and as it draws nearer, we’re seeing teaser shots popping up every day. Toyota have just released a single teaser of the new 2016 Rav4 Hybrid.

The teaser image doesn’t give away any details on the hybrid variant of Toyota’s wildly popular crossover, but what you can see is the hybrid badge, a redesigned rear fascia and a redesigned taillight.

The current RAV4 only has one engine option in the form of 176-hp 2.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine. As we don’t have powertrain details on the hybrid RAV4 yet, it would make sense for it to be equipped with the 156-hp 2.5L 4-cylinder/105 kW electric motor hybrid from the current Camry Hybrid, for a combined rating of 200 hp.
