Video Review: 2014 Toyota Prius

Toyota has sold over three million Priuses worldwide, an impressive number and one of the reasons why this is the benchmark hybrid of the new millennium. It is easy to drive, comfortable for up to five adults and can travel at speed in the city or on the highway. Except for its rather bland exterior, the only downside is the relative cost to purchase when compared to other gasoline or diesel-powered fuel sipping midsize sedans. That said, significant savings at the pump will add up over the course of many years; Toyota built vehicles are renowned for their long-lasting value.

Powered by a 1.8L four-cylinder Atkinson Cycle engine, it delivers 134 hp and plenty of zip while underway. Four-wheel disc brakes provide effective stopping power and regenerative capability plus ABS and Electronic Brake Force Distribution. Seating is comfortable, outward visibility topnotch and the quality of materials is exceptional. If it’s a hybrid you want, the 2014 Toyota Prius is as good as it gets.
