While touring with the new Rogue, Nissan is getting dealer reaction on Micra sales in North America

With a number of automakers bringing superminis to North America, including the soon-to-be available Mitsubishi Mirage, Nissan is looking at the possibility of bringing the popular Nissan Micra to the North American market, AutoGuide reports.

In its current spec, the Nissan Micra has a 1.2L supercharged three-cylinder engine and the car slots in below the Nissan Versa Note, which uses a 1.6L four-cylinder mill. Adding to the credibility of the report, Eaton Superchargers president Ken Davis has mentioned previously Nissan would bring “one or more supercharged vehicles to North America.”

Nissan discontinued Canadian sales of the Micra in 1991. It is sold in the Japanese market at the Nissan March.
