Well considering these two tires are in different categories, I'm not really surprised at which was best on the track and which was best on the road in every day driving. I know that these two are close in both situations but you can tell that there is a difference between these two categories of tires.
I wouldn't mind knowing which other tires you would have liked to have sampled and which categories they fall under. Which set had better wear in your testing? I would have liked to have seen a braking test from different speeds, perhaps one in the dry and one in the wet. That might have shown the differences a bit more.
Good article overall and I'm sure I'll be shopping for some performance tires in the next few years to replace the Conti's that came on my R.
