"priced at an affordable $70,000 or so."

 :shake:

Median Canadian family income is $76k, for reference.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

$70k puts it in Corvette, GT350 and Hellcat range... those are arguably "affordable" sportscars... not just cars... sportscars.

Problem is, of the halo cars you mentioned, there are also models for us po' folk as well. The Camaro SS, Mustang GT, and Challenger R/T are all far more in reach of the average Canadian (even better, there are V6 models for those who just want to look the part).

If Honda wants to fast track a halo model, bring the Civic Si Type-R right the F now as the current Si is a little weak. The unobtainium models can come later. What is the point of having a $70k sportscar in a showroom completely bereft of any other competitive sporting models?

I'm pretty sure that the Type-R and the baby NSX will arrive at around the same time, realistically.

The Type-R has already been officially confirmed, this has not.

Whoever said the median Canadian family should be driving an NSX...?  Whatever happened to a bit of exclusivity?

The rear-end styling has to change...the front is great, though!

I like the sounds of this, but agree with SirO (shocking!!)...$70k may be the relatively "affordable" option, but they'll sell...what...300/year?  And it'll be North American exclusive?  It'd have to be in the $50k price bracket if it's going to have a big H on the front instead of a big A.

Personally, I prefer TnA....

AWD or not, it's going to be a summer-only car based on the low ground clearance, and that'll limit Canucky sales.

That was in reference to saying it was affordable. Realistically it isn't, not by a long shot.

They can make exclusive products all they want, but don't pitch them as affordable.

I dunno... it all depends on your lifestyle.

A single person with a decent job and no other commitments with decent rent can afford 70k for a car if that's where their priority is.

Well there is an intermediate engineer at my old company that still lives with his folks and doesn't pay rent. I guess he could swing it.

Oh, and Snowman.  ;D

No, that was for the new NSX slated for this decade. This one is for the next decade, 2020s I believe.
I love it when a plan comes together.
