Not too surprisingly, the Acura NSX looks like a solid used supercar buy.

If I was to assemble a garage of 90's collector cars this would definitely be included.  I wonder what cars others would put in that garage?  Mine would have to have a Porsche 911, Dodge Viper, Ferrari F40 (although that one did start in the late 80's), and McLaren F1.  Of course the NSX would be my daily driver of the bunch.

Friend had one back in the day. So ahead of it's time.

NSX highlighted Honda's involvement with F1 racing as an engine supplier at the time. I recall the NSX utilizing similar technology such as sodium filled valves. Although sodium filled valves were nothing new, Honda made a few tweaks along with other processes that were learned from F1 R&D and applied them to the NSX.

The NSX has stood the test of time and is a very desirable car.  They're not fast by today's standards, but I'd still want one.  The NSX comes from a time when Honda had serious mojo.  The Integra Type R, the Civic Si, and so on.

Beautiful cars - they still draw lots of attention even today.   They're super low and the sightlines are also expansive due to the big greenhouse.  Because of current safety standards, you won't see cars like this anymore.

Sure, straight line performance would be similar to a current Accord V6 but, having been in one the experience is night and day.  Wonderful engine noises right behind the driver, a great gearbox, and a lack of electronic nannies make it a real drivers car.

They also probably one of the slowest depreciating cars out there (with the 993 911's and the Supra Turbo).  Perhaps they're even due to appreciate in value?

NSX values have been creeping up a bit.  Air cooled 911s have taken off like nuts.  E30 M3s are now $30K cars.  Honda S2Ks have stopped depreciating and cherry examples have appreciated.

I know a guy that owned both at the same time.  Then sold the NSX kept the S2000, then sold the S2000 and bought another NSX.  His other toy is a GTR lol

Does it come in automatic?  I want to be able to seat 5.  How big is the frunk - can it hold 4 sets of golf clubs?

No?

:censor: it, I'll buy a CUV.  ;D

The NSX was always my love growing up, much in the same way that the new kids are loving the FRS/BRZ twins and the Miata.  Something about balance over outright smallpenismobile makes these cars just simply amazing.

Bring your 1000hp what-ever-mobile and you'd have lost to the NSX - with this guy driving.  RIP - the skill, my god, the skill.

I take it you are referring to the late great Ayrton Senna, my all time favourite F1 driver.

Senna was a god.  There's no other way to describe his driving.  A god among mortals.  I never missed a race.  The loss of Villenueve and then Senna killed my love of the sport.

A sentiment we both share.  :'(

I have dreamed of owning this car since it's first year ( I think I read a Jim Kenzie review in the Star's Wheels section, that I clipped and still have somewhere ). But it's interesting that in the same ballpark, you can get the current model Corvette. For reasons of aesthetics and heritage, I'd (probably) opt for the NSX, but assuming I had the money, i'd be thinking very carefully about that 'vette.

Any man that can heel and toe and sling around a car like that in a pair of leather Italian loafers is amazing.....I agree, Senna was the best.
