Sweet Jebus, I'm with you.

It saddens me that these will end up in the garage of collectors who will likely never drive them.

Thats like most of these high end sports cars, end up in places where they will never rev in anger, squeal a tire or take an offramp at twice the limit........just so once a year they can be trailered to some high falutin car show on a golf course.

Hmm, since words cannot describe my desire for this, I will just irritate the rest of you:

1) Does it come with an automatic?  A CVT would be preferred.
2) 3.8L V6...better make 500hp and get 40MPG city.
3) How does it do in the small-offset crash tests?  I think we should crash about 500+ of these just to make sure they're as safe as possible.
4) Only 2 seats?  How can I fit my skis in there?  There better be a 60/40 rear split!
5) It better come with Hercules tires inflated to 60psi.  Anything less would be inefficient on fuel.
6) If it's more than $20,000, then they won't sell in sufficient volumes.  What's the point in selling the car then?!
7) Does it come with a diesel or a hybrid variant?
8.) Does it have AWD?
9) How's the navi screen?  What?  No Navi?!  I can even get Navi in a 2015 Honda Fit!  How can a Jaguar not have Navi?!
10) Should I rustproof the undercarriage, or should I install the module?

;D?

i didn't know the historical races can be done with modified engine.   (modern block from XK?)

No, I believe the entire car (including engine) will be a re-creation of the original.

Was discussed a bit in this thread, too: http://www.autos.ca/forum/index.php/topic,87987.0.html
