So would this be the cheapest in their line-up?  A low $30,000 entrant with FWD or AWD, 1.6T?

Could be interesting, but would definitely leech sales away from the Juke...

...and then if it gets a Q50 front, would it no longer look like a froggie?! :(

Uhhhh....ok....are there people out there longing for a higher trim Juke with an Infinity badge?? Why not just stick some leather, wood and other luxury accoutrements in a Juke and call it the Limited or Black or something.

IMHO, their EX is is pretty compact as it is.  I really see no need for something even smaller.

I'm guessing this is about CAFE regulations?

The Juke is a great little jacked-up hot hatch - nimble, powerful, and playful, but it is seriously unrefined.  Infiniti engineers will have to work wonders on the suspension tuning (and interior material quality) to get it up to lux standards.

They're competing with the X1, GLA, and Lexus NX.

As a Juke owner, I think Infiniti could do the following and they would have a winner:
-upgrade the interior with more soft touch
-upgrade the hp to over 200
-offer enhanced level of standard comfort and safety equipment, including standard AWD
-offer standard panoramic roof
-leave everything else alone
-charge mid 30's.

What an alternative to the Countryman!

May I ask, then - what trim is your Juke and how much was it (MSRP - I don't care how much you paid).
The Juke starts at $19,998 and goes up to $29,678 for the AWD SL CVT.  If Infiniti were to make the interior a nicer place to be (and the front end a little less Froggy), then I'd have to think they need at least a $5,000 premium over the Nissan version to separate them/not leech sales.  I have a feeling it'll start at $34,498 for the equivalent of the FWD SV trim, then have the SL and SL+++ equivalents with AWD going into the $40,000s. 

It's messy territory to build an Infiniti version of an economy car.  I wish them luck - I'd love to see the product!

Mine is a "base" SV AWD @ $25200. An SL AWD with leather and nav is 31,400. So maybe I should revise my Infiniti estimate to high 30's. Some additional premium features and the Infiniti name for about $6-7000 seems about right. Gotta bear in mind that a Mini Countryman with roof and equivalent features is about $38,000. Direct competition.

Keep in mind that a 325-hp AWD QX50 starts at $37,900. I would imagine an Infiniti Juke would need to undercut that price considerably. I could see a base AWD one starting at $32-33k (right where a Rogue tops out) and rising to $40k fully loaded.

I wish that's how all pricing went - price it like the competitors and you'll be set.

Makes me wonder what "features" they'll throw in a Juke chassis...they won't "load 'er up" with everything - it's going to be their "intro" model.
