That must have been a very rough week Mr. Yarkony.
The engine note on that Lambo V10 is still my all time favourite.  This makes my arm hairs stand up every time I listen:

I'm not sure I'd spring for the +, but the base R8 with some options is probably my sweet spot for when I'm 60 and can hopefully afford this thing.  I can't imagine another car that blends so much flash into such a sweet offering for a very reasonable price (all things considered, that is).

I see white one a few times every day.  The owner, who is also my new neighbour, doesn't seem to drive this masterpiece often enough.
I think he has a current gen 535i for his DD, though.

Interesting that one of it's main competitors (911) is it's cousin. Given the choice the R8 definitely has more eye appeal. I see one in it's none plus version in Streetsville often. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streetsville,_Ontario)   I believe he owns the parking lots on Church street since his plates are same as the lot company.

Aside from corporate ownership not sure I'd call the 911 a cousin to the R8. The Lambo's however I would.

Such a beautiful car.  Amazing to think it was first released in 2007, the styling is still so fresh.

As far as supercars go, seems like a "good deal" at $200k.  Ferraris and such are more, and I doubt you get the performance of the R8.

Ferrari is a car company. You may be correct with some models in regards to performance vs the R8 but your statement is short sighted as Ferrari have models that trump the R8. Mind you at a considerable higher price point. Check out the current FF & FFX. Ferrari has never claimed to be a drag car if 0-60 is your guideline.

Normally I'm a big fan of the GTR and it is an awesome machine.  But the R8 has the style and performance to back up it up as well.  On the track it would be close the R8 handles better I'm fairly sure and the power delivery is so smooth that it is more controllable at the limit.

But the style and interior elegance of the R8 just catapult it ahead.

If it's all about the power then GTR for sure, otherwise R8 is tops. 

If you need 4 doors, RS7

I see one driving around Niagara about once a month.   Not sure if it's local or someone visiting.
funny thing is I've never seen him / her drive any different from anyone else. 

If I was ever to own a supercar, this is really the one I think I'd look at!

to be fair, your TT-RS is supercar fast, despite it reasonably attainable price.

hmmm, that sounds like a good Autos.ca comparison test...the new C7 versus the TT-RS...you game Snowman?
