How small of a car can we make and then claim that it fits four adults? I’m sure that was Scion’s goal when creating the iQ. An all-new and highly anticipated design, the iQ brings to our market what the Smart Fortwo did in 2004 — except the iQ can seat four and promises to offer Toyota reliability and maintenance schedules instead of being strapped to a Mercedes-Benz dealership that is used to selling to a highly affluent clientele.
This little car comes standard with an automatic transmission of CVT variety (continuously variable) and a 1.3-litre inline four cylinder engine. All of its 94 horsepower is sent to the front wheels.

Surprisingly the iQ comes with a lot of standard equipment, such as power windows and mirrors, air conditioning, Bluetooth, USB connectivity and keyless entry. Of course, following the Scion philosophy there are no extra packages for the iQ, just a few dealer installed options.
The exterior of the iQ even features some premium features like signal lights in the mirrors, full body coloured mirrors and handles. Of course the big thing with this little car is its size and ability to fit in tight places, be easy to drive and do a u-turn in just 1.9 metres, the smallest turning radius on the market.
Fuel consumption is rated at 5.5L/100km city and 4.7L/100km highway by Natural Resources Canada. You may find the storage capacity of just 31L or 1.0 cu/ft behind the rear seats shocking — good thing they fold to offer 473L.
